I mentor multiple collegiate teams, both competing at the International Rocket Engineering Competition
I mentor Oregon State University's Student Competition Rocketry Team (OSU SCRT) on their solid rocket motor development, design, testing, and use at the International Rocketry Engineering Competition.
I provide guidance on formulas, grain geometry design, pressure vessel designs, and attend testing to ensure success. They designed a new formula under my guidance which has significantly increased ISP.
As a Level 3, I oversee Washington State University Vancouver's submission to the International Rocketry Engineering Competition to ensure their vehicle is safe and will perform well.
I provide guidance on aerodynamic design, structural calculations, recovery electronics and hardware, and all other rocketry related components.
I attended the competition with them this last June where they successfully launched and recovered the rocket!
